Brother of Morocco's king admitted to Paris hospital for necessary medical examinations after taking ill on plane.

 

RABAT - Prince Moulay Rachid, younger brother of Morocco's King Mohammed VI, has been hospitalized in Paris after taking ill on a flight from Casablanca, the royal palace announced early Sunday.

The prince's condition was "stable and not giving rise to any concern," the statement said after he was admitted to a Paris hospital for "the necessary medical examinations."

The nature of Prince Moulay Rachid's illness was not disclosed.

Prince Moulay Rachid, born in Rabat in 1970, takes part alongside his brother in the various political, economic and social activities of the kingdom and had been beside King Mohammed on Friday at the opening of the new legislative year in the capital.
