English Premier League goes to Abu Dhabi TV

 
Exclusive agreement boosts station share for best leisure, sports and news services to Arab public.

 
ABU DHABI - Abu Dhabi TV has secured the right to telecast live matches of the English Premier League to football fans in the Middle East and North Africa from August 2010 and for three consecutive league seasons, it was announced by the Abu Dhabi Media Company.

"This is a critical moment for Abu Dhabi and for our media company," said Edward Borgerding, CEO of the Abu Dhabi Media Company.

"We have established a partnership with the most thrilling championships in the world. We aim at sustaining our partnership with the English Premier League for many years by telecasting the league matches to the Arab World, to Arab families in the Middle East and North Africa," he added.

Borgerding said the agreement will boost his outfit's development strategy of providing the best leisure, sports and news services to the Arab public.
