Myth of Troy a reality in Abu Dhabi

 
Abu Dhabi, Al Ain host Troy's spectacular legendary dance shows for three nights.

 
ABU DHABI – The Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (ADACH) is hosting the "Troy Show", the legendary dance show by Fire Of Anatolia Dance Group.

The show will be performed at Al Jahili Fort in Al Ain on November 9th and at Emirates palace in Abu Dhabi on November 12th and 13th.

“The show comes as part of the authority’s strategy to turn Abu Dhabi into an international hub for arts and culture and Fire of Anatolia Dance Group which was launched in 2002 has gained a huge success all over the world for its exceptional live shows due to the high understanding and interaction between their members which adds a touch of honesty on their shows,” said Abdulla Al Amiri, Director of Culture and Arts Department at ADACH.

“The show recalls the legend of Troy for the first time in the region, the show will take audience in an unusual musical and dance trip to Troy through music full of passion and hope in a call to find a world of peace and tranquility for humans,” Al Amiri added.

The 'Fire of Anatolia' Dance Group was founded in 2002 and gained major success with performances worldwide, is giving life to the myth of Troy for the first time in the region.

The show present the composition of history of art dating back to 3,000 years ago.

The tale, which belongs back to 1180 BC, was written by an Anatolian poet from Izmir to the memory of humanity. This famous musical show is now brought to Abu Dhabi.

"The ones who do not hear the voices of the history cannot hear the voice of future. Fire of Anatolia Dance Group is giving life to myth of Troy. We are welcoming this immortal composition of history of art after three thousand years in its motherland," said Mustafa ERDOÐAN, general Art Director of the dance group said.

"The illuminated city embellished the dreams of world leaders passing over the ages, from Hittite King Tuthalia to Alexander the Great, to Caesar of Roman Empire; from Persian King Kserkses to Constantine of Byzantine Empire, from Sultan Mehmet, the Conqueror to Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. The scream rising from the ruins of Troy and the revival of a mystical dream of 3000 years.”
