Dacia launches production of its first hybrid car in Morocco
TANGIER - The Renault plant in Tangier launched Friday the production of the "Dacia Jogger" model, a versatile family vehicle available in 5 and 7-seater versions, intended for both the national and international markets.
Dacia Jogger is the first hybrid vehicle manufactured in Morocco which integrates hybrid and thermal engines, thus offering a range adapted to the preferences and requirements of consumers.
The opening of pre-orders will begin on July 12, 2024 on the dacia.ma website, and the vehicle will be available for sale from September 20 for a price starting from Dh190,900 ($19,500).
Minister of Industry and Trade Ryad Mezzour highlighted during the launch ceremony the solid partnership between the Morocco and the Renault Group.
Mezzour emphasised progress towards more sustainable mobility that strengthens Morocco's position as a major industrial hub.
Denis Le Vot, CEO of Dacia said the Tangier plant welcomed a new member of the Dacia family: the Dacia Jogger.
"This versatile and affordable family vehicle embodies Dacia's success story in Europe," he added.
