Marrakech Festival of Popular Arts to be held July 1-5

Musicians, entertainers and artists will flock to Morocco’s ochre city to take part in the 51st edition of the National Festival of Popular Arts.

RABAT - Morocco’s Ministry of Culture and Communication and the Grand Atlas association are organizing July 1-5 the 51st edition of the National Festival of Popular Arts in the ochre city of Marrakech.

Declared by UNESCO a masterpiece of the intangible cultural heritage of humanity, the festival is privileged by its openness to all intercultural approaches.

The National Festival of Popular Arts is one of the oldest festivities of its kind and features traditional music, theatre, poetry and art.

The festival will bring all the corners of Morocco together in one event, with the cultures of all the various regions melting together to create a visual and sensory extravaganza of sound, colour and rhythm.
