PAM from a trio to a duo leadership
CASABLANCA - The political bureau of the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) decided on Tuesday to suspend its co-leader, Salaheddine Aboulghali, revealed several sources.
Aboulghali was suspended in accordance with the party's code of ethics, and that an official statement confirming the decision should be published in the coming hours, said one of the sources.
Aboulghali was elected in February 2024 as head of the PAM alongside Fatima Zahra Mansouri, Minister of National Planning, Urban Planning, Housing and Urban Policy, and Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication, as part of an unprecedented triumvirate presidency.
Aboulghali’s suspension comes a few days after Justice Minister Abdellatif Ouahbi announced the resumption of his activities within the PAM in September.
In an interview with Le360 last January, Aboulghali slammed his party’s “deafening silence” regarding the scandal of the "Malien" affair, in which "big names" of this party, Saïd Naciri and Abdenbi Bioui, are involved.
