Blinken, UAE FM discuss Sudan conflict

The State Department says the two top diplomats discuss in a call on the importance of ending the conflict in Sudan.

WASHINGTON - US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan discussed in a call on Wednesday the importance of ending the conflict in Sudan, the State Department said in a statement.

Blinken also welcomed the deal to release hostages held by Hamas in Gaza and reaffirmed the importance of addressing the humanitarian needs in Gaza, the statement said.
